ASTON MARTIN BEATS APPLE AS COOLEST BRAND FOR 2011

HOT WIRE— Aston Martin has been awarded the prize of the United Kingdom’s coolest brand, winning the accolade for the fifth time in six years. The car company topped a poll which comprises an array of international contemporary design-driven brands, including Apple and Bang & Olufsen. Aston Martin was also voted the top automotive brand surpassing a host of other luxury and specialist manufacturers.

AUTO REVIEW— The Chevrolet Cruze Eco is not the fastest car on the road, nor is it the most luxurious. It is, however a practical, reasonably priced sedan with the features car buyers are looking for—not the least of which is an outstanding highway fuel economy rating of 42 miles per gallon. That’s quite impressive, considering this is a gasoline engine, not a hybrid as one might assume it would be. Reed Berry takes a cruise through Southern California in the most fuel efficient gas powered vehicle in the U.S.
