The 2018 Performance Racing Industry show takes Indy by storm

I’ve attended SEMA since 2003, but not its corporate sibling PRI that SEMA bought in 2012. That being said I have known PRI by reputation, mainly for a) being a hardcore performance show focused on racing, and b) being really, really cold. My first PRI visit confirmed the reputation is well-deserved.

PRI eschews the glitz-and-glamour and gets right down to business. Over 3,300 booths full of race and performance parts filled the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium. Buyers from throughout the U.S. and over 70 countries flooded the hallways in search of the winning edge.

I attended PRI as part of the V8TV Show PRI Live Stage, new for the show. Host Kevin Oeste interviewed countless industry legends and the winner of JE Piston’s Masters of Motors award.

In between rushing around for meetings, I was able to snap a few shots of my favorite race cars on display. While I’m not a fan of ice-cold hotel rooms, I am a huge fan of racing. Bundling up in extra layers is a very small price to pay to be at the U.S. epicenter of racing parts and I look forward to returning in 2019.
