I don’t know about you, but the last month-and-a-half has been one heck of a ride. On the positive side, I’m spending more time with my family than ever. On the negative side, close quarters can make for some pretty frustrating moments (textbook example: kids screaming at the top of the lungs right when you start an important work call…over cardboard). That all works out in the end of course. What isn’t so easy to get over if you’re a die-hard gearhead like me is the complete and abject lack of any car meets like my monthly Carcadia show. It’s not just about seeing new cars, it’s about hanging out with your friends.
Enter Allen Berg the eponymous racing maestro behind the Allen Berg Racing Schools (ABRS.) He’s not only a storied racer and recent inductee into the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame, he’s a pretty sharp businessman. Leave it to Berg to find a way to keep his talented crew of instructors busy.
For a limited time, ABRS is offering antsy race fans the chance to get personalized instruction from its team of accomplished racer/instructors online. “Choose any track, any racecar, any platform, and our coaches will assist you in reaching higher levels of performance and improved results,” promises the school.
In a time when major racing series like F1 and Nascar are turning to iRacing to keep their fans engaged, ABRS’ online training school might just be the way of the future.
