2ND ANNUAL SAN MARINO MOTOR CLASSIC REVS ENGINE AGAIN The 2012 San Marino Motor Classic Design in Motion is gearing up for its second annual outing on Sunday, June 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. located at Lacy Park 1485 Virginia Road, in San Marino, California. Enthusiasts can expect to see a wide variety of Brass Era cars, Depression Era classics and Post-War luxury and sports cars competing in 31 classes. “We’re especially excited for this year,” said Aaron Weiss, Co-Chair of the event. “People really enjoyed last year’s inaugural event so we’re building upon that to showcase even more cars this year and to let people see firsthand prominent parts of automobile history.”

Proceeds raised from the event will benefit the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA and the Rotary Club of San Marino. The 2011 inaugural event raised more than $125,000 for both charities in addition to attracting more than 220 collector cars and 3,000 spectators. John La Barbera’s 1955 Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing won the “Best In Show” title. KABC 7’s Dave Kunz returns as Master of Ceremony this year. Advanced spectator tickets can be purchased for $25 online or for $30 the day of the event. Co-founded by Aaron Weiss, Paul Colony and Ben Reiling, the 2011 event boasted more than 20 judged classes of select vehicles. It is the successor of the Los Angeles Concours d’Elegance.
