29th Annual Dana Point Concours d’Elegance

Pictures by John Grafman Dana Point, California was the epicenter of automotive heritage and luxury during the 29th Annual Dana Point Concours d’Elegance, June 22-24, 2012, on the Monarch Beach Golf Links at the St. Regis Monarch Beach. The three-day celebration featured an art exhibition, Vintage Automobile Auction by EG Auctions and more than 250 classic cars competing in the Concours.
EG’s Vintage Car Auction vehicle preview kicked-off the weekend festivities on Friday, June 22, on the Sea Terrace Park, followed by an exclusive invite-only reception that evening. The auction started on Saturday and continued on through Sunday. The highlight of the weekend began Sunday morning as display vehicles checked-in for the official Concours. Exhibitors competed in 30 different classes, vying for some of the most prestigious awards, including Best of Show, Briggs Cunningham Award, Charles Hester Family Award and the Kent Wilken People's Choice Award.
About the Dana Point Concours d’Elegance The Dana Point Concours d'EleganceTM is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization, with excess proceeds supporting the Ocean Institute, the Mary & Dick Allen Diabetes Center at Hoag Hospital and other Southern California youth charities. The event is operated primarily as a Classic Car Club of America (CCCA) Concours, with additional classes showcasing interesting and relevant automobiles.
