Pictures by Robert M. Shoji The Progressive International Motorcycle Show at the Long Beach Convention Center (Dec. 7, 8 and 9, 2012) may not have the hoopla of those four-wheeled motor vehicles at the LA Auto Show, but the bike show stands out on its own. Motorcycles, if you haven’t noticed, are making a comeback due to high fuel costs and the state of the economic during the past few years. All of the major companies—Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Ducati, Harley Davidson—are showcasing the latest creations. Triumph is showing off a new road racer. A few new companies are showing off some models too. And don’t forget the manufacturers that have jumped onto the electric-hybrid bandwagon. On the other end of the spectrum, there's R. Lee Ermey of "Full Metal Jacket" fame at the Indian motorcycle booth—along with all the demos, fashion shows and stunts. Here are some scenes from the press preview by LA Car's Robert M. Shoji. – Richard Uyekawa
