Cadillac unveiled its extended range electric car, the 2014 ELR, at the Detroit show

Even before the introduction of the Chevy Volt, a number of automotive pundits had been saying the car should be a Cadillac. Better late than never. At the Detroit Auto Show, Cadillac introduced its version of the extended range electric car, the ELR. It’s the latest expression of Cadillac’s Art & Science school of design—and its edgy styling seems particularly well-suited for the car’s Tomorrow Land technology.
