Pictures by Zoran Segina It’s been a year since the departure of automotive legend Carroll Shelby. The Los Angeles Shelby American Automobile Club (LASAAC) decided it was time to hold the first annual Carroll Shelby Tribute and Car Show. The one day event took place at the Carroll Shelby Foundation Headquarters in Gardena, California, and featured a Ford and Shelby car show, an awards ceremony, a panel discussion led by Rick Titus, a Texas style chili bar, special guests and an engine rev salute. “Carroll Shelby changed the course of history and touched millions of lives through his racing, his companies and his charity,” said Randy Richards, LASAAC president. “He challenged us to honor his legacy by continuing his work.” In addition to the LASAAC, the Carroll Shelby Tribute and Car Show was presented with the additional sponsorship from DenBeste Motorsports, McCluskey Ltd., Galpin Motorsports and Retrosports.
