The All Toyotafest at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California (Nakano)

Pictures by Roy Nakano Ford has its Fabulous Fords Forever. Chevrolet has the Classic Chevys of Southern California. For Toyota, Lexus and Scion vehicles, it’s the All Toyotafest. Sponsored by the Toyota Owners and Restorers Club (TORC), the event has gained the strong support of Toyota Motor Corporation and its Lexus and Scion divisions. This year, Toyotafest celebrated its 20th anniversary, and LA Car was there at the Queen Mary parking lot with digital camera in hand.

Toyota brought its 2000GT from its museum in Torrance to the show. Coincidentally, petitions were circulating at the show to keep the Toyota Museum in Torrance. All indications are that the museum will move to Plano, Texas, when the corporate headquarters moves there. (Nakano)

Established in 1995, TORC is an organization dedicated to the celebration of pre-1985 Toyota enthusiasts. “TORC welcomes owners, drivers and fans of all Toyota brands, including Lexus and Scion,” according to TORC President Mike Bigham and VP Joji Luz.
