GALLERY— After displaying our photo spread of the 2012 Mustang Boss 302, the gearheads in Chevy’s corner demanded equal time. “Puny little 302 won’t beat Chevy’s 427,” said one fan. He’s referring to the 2012 Camaro ZL1, which will be packing 427 cubic inches and 550 horses. The first ZL1 from 1969 ran the quarter mile in the 11 second range (on a good day with good rubber)—and Chevy hints heavily that history will be repeated. So, in honor of each of those 11 seconds, we present our 11 favorite photographic clicks of the upcoming ZL1.
