Subaru introduced the XV Concept at the Shanghai motor show (Str/AP)

SHANGHAI—Rod Stewart says Shanghai Lil never used the pill, but this one’s certainly not hard to swallow. The pill in question is called the XV Concept, and the folks at Subaru hope you consider it good medicine. They are showcasing the XV to test consumer reaction for a new crossover segment positioned below the Outback and Forester—both in terms of size and price.

The XV Concept, which debuted at the Shanghai motor show today, features the company’s latest boxer engine and, of course, all-wheel drive.
