You’ve seen a glimpse of his works in LA Car. You may have even seen his book, Shine to Rust. Most recently, Automobile Quarterly, the highly-regarded hardback design periodical published a 17-page article on his works. Now a virtual art gallery of over 120 works by artist and photographer Robert Michaels are on display—including the eight dazzling examples shown here.
Michaels’ work has been widely published in everything from consumer magazines to print advertisements. Having been schooled at Art Center College of Design, Otis Art Institute, and UCLA, Michaels’ paintings and photographs have been showcased in art galleries and competitions, wherein he’s received numerous awards. His schooling even included taking workshops with the photographic legend, Ansel Adams.
Now, for the first time, LA Car readers and other travelers of the Internet autobahn can see over 120 of Robert Michaels’ work at the click of the touchpad. A sampling of the breadth of Michaels’ works can be seen here:
