Bentley Wins Record Number of Awards in Centenary Year

Bentley closes out a highly successful 100^th year Anniversary with a bang.

Bentley has put on quite an impressive centenary jubilee, one that has now paid off in pride and gold. The prestigious British manufacturer garnered 26 global awards in all of 2019, making it the most decorated year for Bentley on record.

The all-new, third generation Flying Spur has been particularly adored, earning Top Gear Magazine’s ‘Luxury Car of the Year’. Top Gear described the Flying Spur as “a deeply clever, superbly executed car”, that also “gets the blend of presence and dynamism spot on.” The four-door luxury palace on wheels also earned a ‘Luxury Car of the Year’ award from Carwow. Mat Watson, Editorial Director of Carwow, showered praise on the Flying Spur’s “powerful yet elegant design, the impeccable cabin, the lavish materials and the hand-built boutique ambiance.”

The excellent Bentley Continental GT collected a total of 10 awards, and the third-generation model was named the ‘People’s Car of the Year’ at the News UK Motor Awards. Jeremy Clarkson presented the title and boasted about the Continental GT, saying: “Particularly when you sit inside, they are exceptionally good. I think it’s a wonderful, wonderful car and I want one.” I think praise from Clarkson should be considered an award on its own.
