Scheduling Update at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for 2020

The Trans Am SpeedFest has been postponed, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship moved to Labor Day weekend.
Uncertainty and rescheduling have become very common with the outbreak of COVID-19 around the world. For those of you wondering about the schedule at Laguna Seca this year, the folks at WeatherTech Raceway have released a general update about the premier events of this upcoming season.
“Our top priority continues to be safeguarding the well-being of associates, and all those who enter the Laguna Seca Recreation Area,” explained John Narigi, president and general manager of WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. “We continue our planning of the events, working with our partners and community to ensure that when California officials lift the shelter in place order and everyone is healthy and safe, we haven’t missed a step.”
The WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca 2020 schedule has been updated
At this point, there have been two changes made to the 2020 schedule. First, the Trans Am SpeedFest has been postponed until further notice. Second, the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship has been moved up one week to Labor Day weekend. This movement is also influenced by the rescheduled 24 Hours of Le Mans and will allow greater separation between the two events. The rest of the schedule will proceed as planned.

July 23-26 – Ferrari Challenge Series
August 8-9 – Monterey Pre-Reunion
August 13-16 – Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion
September 4-6 – Monterey SportsCar Championship
September 18-20 – Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey
October 1-4 – Sea Otter Classic Special Event
