Pictures by Sean Spear As a canvas for showing off vintage cars, it doesn’t get much better than the lush gardens of the North Campus of the Art Center College of Design. This year, nearly 2,000 came to Art Center Car Classic—designers, car collectors, hobbyists, and members of the general public. This year’s theme was transportation design “Inspired by Nature”, featuring vehicles whose forms and materials were inspired by birds, fish, insects and other natural phenomena. Approximately 90 cars, trucks, motorcycles and bicycles were on display, with a jury of alumni, faculty and industry leaders issuing Best in Class awards to 19 vehicles in eight categories. Sean Spear was inspired to capture the Car Classic on camera.
