Segerstrom Private Car Collection in Irvine

By Sean Spear Automobile enthusiasts will have a rare opportunity to visit one of the most notable private car collections in the region, all while supporting kids in need. Ted Segerstrom (of Orange County’s Segerstrom Center for the Arts fame) will host a benefit for the Orange County Childhood Language Center on Saturday, May 9th at his private museum; located at 17821 Gillette Ave., Irvine 92614. Ticket purchasers will be admitted at 6:00 pm. The event organizers point out that in addition to a personal tour by Mr. Segerstrom, attendees will also be treated to the sounds of classical guitarist Mr. Flavio Apro, nibble on delicious hors d'oeuvres, and share good wine with world renowned Master Sommelier, Mr. Michael Jordan. The automobile collection includes a significant number of “One of a Kind” Shelby Mustangs, multiple and signed Shelby Cobras and more.

Why: All proceeds raised from the event will benefit the Orange County Childhood Language Center, a community program for children ages 2-16 with speech and language challenges.
