They say that red is the color of seduction, and the 2021 Corolla Hatchback Special Edition is indeed very red.
Toyota announced a Special Edition of their 2021 Corolla Hatchback this week, spicing up the hot hatch market. Targeted towards fans who enjoy bold colors and striking looks, the Corolla Special Edition definitely hits the mark. Equipped with an exclusive body kit and bathed in a stunning Supersonic Red, the car looks like it was blessed by some customization wizards. Toyota is also making the Corolla Hatchback Special Edition a unicorn by producing just 1,500 units for the 2021 model year.
All 2021 Corolla Hatchback models will be equipped with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 suite, and the Special Edition isn’t left out. The suite includes systems such as Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Automatic High Beams and more.
Along with the Supersonic Red paint job, the Hatchback Special Edition also includes black-painted 18-inch alloy wheels and a bold body kit that is claimed to “beat the aftermarket in style and value.” The body kit adds a front splitter, side skirts, a black rear roof spoiler, a rear bumper garnish and a unique Special Edition badge.
The Hatchback Special Edition uses the same 2.0L four-cylinder Dynamic Force Engine in all 2021 Corolla models, pumping out 168 horsepower. A variable cooling system also helps the car warm up quicker on cold days and cool down faster on hot days thanks to improved efficiency. The Special Edition gets the 10-speed automatic transmission with an added Sport mode and paddle shifters.
The 2021 Toyota Corolla Hatchback Special Edition will arrive in late summer 2020.
