California Drivers Now Have Access to 100 Electrify America EV Charge Stations

Electrify America’s Electric Charging Stations now boast 400 public chargers at 100 locations across the state; continues long-term electric investment in California.
In November 2018, Electrify America opened its first EV charging station in California in Torrance. Since then, a vast network has spread across the state, from San Diego to Crescent City. These EV charging stations are ultra-fast and brand-neutral, allowing drivers to charge their vehicles on the go.
“We have made significant progress in our efforts to provide greater access to quality EV charging infrastructure across the state of California,” said Giovanni Palazzo, President and CEO of Electrify America. “With the supportive guidance of the California Air Resources Board and ongoing collaboration with public and private stakeholders, we will continue to make thoughtful investments in zero emission vehicle infrastructure and educational initiatives to promote electric driving and help the state move closer to achieving its long-term environmental goals.”
Our state of California is increasing adoption of EV technology quickly and has become one of the world’s largest markets for zero emission vehicles. Electrify America’s investments are local and support education systems and infrastructure. Electrify America is currently in the middle of its second $200 million investment in the state. The company is committed to a total investment of a whopping $800 million over a ten-year period.

Nichols, chair of the California Air Resources Board. “Whether you own a car, hail a ride, or take a bus, this 100th station spells out a welcome to all be a part of the zero emissions transportation revolution.”
Some of the investments from Electrify America include:
- DC Fast Charging Stations – Electrify America’s lightning-quick charging stations have a power range from 50 kW to 350 kW. These charging stations can match the needs of any electric car, including delivering up to 20 miles of range per minute to capable vehicles.
- Workplace/Multiunit Dwelling Level 2 Charging – Electrify America has installed more than 1,700 Level 2 charging ports at workplaces and multiunit dwellings across California. Over 40% of these stations are located in low-income areas.
- Envision Solar EV ARC™ Chargers – Electrify America invests in standalone, solar-powered chargers from Envision Solar, a San Diego-based company. These chargers provide access to Level 2 charging across rural areas in the Central, Coachella, and Imperial Valleys.
