Lexus Saves the Universe

Sometimes the star of a movie comes with tires and an exhaust note. Let’s play a word association game. If I say “007,” you may think Aston Martin (or if you’re youngster, BMW). Our good friends at Lexus certainly know how to make a cinematic impression. “Wakanda” should conjure up images of a blue Lexus LC being shredded by the Black Panther.

In MIB: International, the latest installment of the Men in Black series (dare you not to sing the song btw) a Lexus vehicle again steals the show. But unlike the aforementioned product placement exercises, this Lexus isn’t merely earthbound. The 2020 RC F transforms on screen from a menacing street car to a flying IFO (that’s Identified Flying Object) equipped  with “everything you need to protect the earth from the scum of the universe.”

For comic-book fans like us, the details in the press release are sure to brighten your day. Our inner and outer geeks were impressed with some of the features Lexus thought to mention. The only detail missing is the pricing, which come to think of it we knew prior to seeing a bright flash of light…
