The Racing to End Alzheimer’s BMW M4 cruised into Monterey to wrap up the 4,000-mile trek for charity aptly named On the Road Again: The Ultimate Tour for the Cure.

Beginning in Daytona Beach, Florida, nearly three weeks ago, a unique BMW M4 drove to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California, on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. This special M4 shimmers with a brilliant purple and black color combination. The Racing to End Alzheimer’s M4 is covered with more than 80 names of people affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

On the Road Again: The Ultimate Tour for the Cure is a road trip spanning 4,000 miles from coast to coast. Phil Frengs, founder of Racing to End Alzheimer’s, drove the BMW M4. The car looks identical to the No. 80 BimmerWorld BMW M4 GT4 that competes in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Series.

For $250, a donor can add the name and hometown of a loved one affected by Alzheimer’s to the car. Corporate sponsor Legistics generously matches the $250, increasing the amount that each name represents to $500. Typically, fans can see all of the names on the racecar. But with the racing world at a standstill, Racing to End Alzheimer’s decided to take the car to the streets. When racing starts up again in July, the names will be on the M4 GT4 as well.

Racing to End Alzheimer’s grants 100% of all donated funds plus matches to charity partners, while administrative and marketing expenses are funded by Legistics. Previous charity partners of Racing to End Alzheimer’s include the Nantz National Alzheimer Center at Houston Methodist Hospital and UCLA’s Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care facility. During the Ultimate Tour for the Cure, Phil Frengs stopped by the Nantz National Alzheimer Center to deliver a check for $78,632.
