L.A.-Based Czinger Releases Teaser Video of the New 21C Hypercar

The Los Angeles company plans to reveal their new revolutionary hypercar at the Geneva Motor Show on March 3.

Dominating performance. Iconic design. These are the ways Czinger is marketing their new 21C performance beast. Designed, developed, engineered and manufactured right here in Los Angeles, the Czinger 21C promises to be a paradigm shift in the way supercars around the world can be produced. The video showcases some iconic California landmarks, including Bixby Bridge and the Pacific Coast Highway.

The 21C showcases some tantalizing features, including center seating (like the McLaren F1), a mid-engine layout, and some maniacal aerodynamics. Though no performance data was specified in the video, the powertrain is listed as a strong, in-house developed hybrid system. The center cockpit improves the driving experience, and a towering rear spoiler looks to handle the rear-end grip.

This car appears to be the evolution of an experimental prototype released in 2015 called the Divergent Blade. Divergent 3D’s CEO, Kevin Czinger, has been an advocate for 3D printing in the manufacturing process of vehicles for a while now. This 21C appears to have some parts made via 3D printing, and that would align with Czinger’s hope for implementing that process into mass producing automobiles.

The Czinger 21C is set to debut during Czinger’s press conference from 11:00-11:15 CET at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland on March 3, 2020. We can’t help but root for Czinger. Let’s hope that they add some more supercar lore to our city of L.A.
