PICTURES AT A PORSCHE AIR AND WATER EXHIBITION

The organizers of the celebrated Luftgekühlt events held the third Porsche Air|Water gathering in Southern California. Christopher Carreiro captured some images for LA Car.
Launched in 2023 as a part of Luftgekühlt, the Porsche Air|Water event brings together Porsches of all forms—air-cooled, water-cooled, electric, diesel, et al. In 2024, Air|Water became a stand-alone event. And just this past month, the 2025 Air|Water event was held in Costa Mesa, California.

Luftgekühlt—a word used to encompass all things related to Porsches with air-cooled engines—was itself launched in Venice, California back in 2013. The brainchild of two-time Le Mans class winner Patrick Long and noted Southern California creative director and brand marketer Howie Ielson, the Luftgekühlt event grew in popularity, and is now held in various locations throughout the world. The Luftgekühlt group now sees the Porsche Air|Water event becoming as much of a permanent fixture as the air-cooled engine-only event.

Christopher Carreiro was at the 2025 Porsche Air|Water event and observes, “It was great as both an enthusiast and photographer in that cars were placed around the fair grounds to be discovered. It really gave each shot a dynamic perspective, which provided opportunities for ideal framing.”

About the Photographer
Christopher Carreiro's passion for cars is broad and far reaching, be it lowrider or Formula 1, Petersen or Concours d’Elegance, Japanese classics or random cars and coffee. "I have been known to chase a Singer on a flatbed to its delivery point, so there is often a degree of difficulty in nailing down what I love most."
